Seadeta Osmani

WIND OF SILENCE

Because you haven’t asked,
I cannot answer
what I long to scream.
My love, imagine the flock of birds
ready to fly to the other side of the world,
but being kept by the strong wind of silence.

*

DANGER

Oh danger…!
Sometimes you taste
like chocolate
and have the appeal of
an umbrella
on a rainy day.

*

AT THIS AGE

I’m an old cat –
past the curiosity phase.
Satisfaction may be
of interest to me,
but contemplation prevails.
